COVID-19 Update


As expected, following the Government announcement on Monday 4th January that we’re now in Tier 4 Basketball England has communicated that 'basketball activity in England will be halted with the Government stating all sport is suspended - except at ‘elite’ level.'

The Sutton Storm committee had a committee meeting yesterday (Tuesday 5th Jan) and will continue to meet to try and plan for when we can play basketball again.


As a result please do not set-up any Standing Orders to the club or pay any memberships fees to Basketball England.

Sutton Storm Basketball Club is a non–profit community basketball club run by volunteers attracting young people from the Sutton, Carshalton, Wallington and Croydon area of South London. The club was started in 2006, to create U18 basketball sessions for local teenagers with a passion for basketball.


Today, we run 6 training sessions and have 4 junior teams competing in the Surrey Central Venue League at U12, U14 & U16 age groups as well as a senior men’s and senior ladies teams.


All our coaches are qualified level 2 in basketball, DBS checked and have under gone safeguarding training and we always have a first aider present at training sessions.
